The group includes twelve local volunteers who have been training since last Autumn and are ready to go live once the necessary equipment is purchased. The area to be serviced by the group is a 10km radius from Clashganny, encompassing Goresbridge, Borris, Rathanna, Ballymurphy, Graiguenamanagh, Glynn and St. Mullins.
In order to commence the service, equipment, including defibrillators, training mannequins and other first aid supplies need to be purchased at an estimated cost of €10k.
